Asperations this system would like to meet

A system that helps people fully experience life sooner

Instead of focusing on the here-after, Soul Work Theology focuses on the here and now.   Instead of focusing on fulfilment in the next life, Soul Work Theology focuses on fulfilment in this life.

Soul Work Theology was conceived with the idea that religion should point a person deliberately towards age appropriate living.  That normal drives, desires, hopes and dreams would be a main vehicle of the system.  Soul Work Theology should be able to change a depressed, "I'm not suppose to be here", or "I'm not suppose to enjoy..." belief and build a personal belief system of the opposite nature. No one should wake up half way through their lives and realize some parts of their life have passed unfulfilled and they are empty because of it.

Soul Work Theology should lead people to live a life fully connected to themselves and the here and now around them.  Soul Work Theology should lead people to life an enriched, fulfilled life.  A life they feel satisfied with.

A system that is modern  yet mystical

Some existing religious structures conflict with modern thinking and understanding.  Where people may have to choose between their religion and current understanding.  Or where people juggle both, keeping them separate in their minds and hearts.

Soul Work Theology should flow with modern understanding.  To provide a union of faith and  intellect.   It should be in harmony with current science.  Yet it should add just enough mysticism to satisfy peoples souls.  A rational system that is still open to supplication.  A system where spiritual experiences live united with factual reality.

A system with hope

It is a goal of this system that everyone would have hope that they matter, they count.  That no matter what their circumstances, there would be something they could do.  Now it may not be possible to create a system that always gives hope no matter what the situation.  But the goal is to come as close as possible.

Soul Work Theology attempt to reach this goal by saying the purpose of every living being is to process life.  And the processed life will then in turn feed Life in totality.  That any processing of any issues or situations feeds the whole with healthier food that in turn can lift all of life higher.

A system that gives appropriate power

Some systems have too much power.  Power to say I'm right and your wrong.  Power to outcast, to exclude to blame. Power to justify forcing the "one true way" on others by eliminating all other options.  Power to justify the extinction of other systems, peoples, cultures.  Power to excommunicate anyone who steps out in a different way.  Power to limit expression to a single, well defined script for life.  Power that can be abused way to easily.

It is a goal of Soul Work theology to come up with a different way to handle power.  To invent a system where no ones power infringes on anyone one else.  Where each living being has one living being's worth of power.  And were power can not accumulate or pile up.  Or at least a self regulating system.  Where any being that accumulates to much power is brought down. Where the goal is to moderate your own power and allow diversity of power.

To open a new field of study.

Even if Soul Work theology comes to nothing, it is hoped that it will open up a new field .  A field where people study and consider building the healthiest, most fulfilling belief system possible.  A field where people design even engineer belief systems.  Seeking to avoid some of the weaknesses of others.  To promote the fullest life of the individual without infringing on others.  System that would believe in tolerance and diversity.

What would such a system look like?  What elements would it incorporate?  What questions would it seek to answer?  How would it explain the world?

If nothing else it is hoped that Soul Work Theology would open an exciting new field of study. A field that would call others to join and build even better systems for the benefit of all.
