As previously described, because our brain grew too fast, it developed chemistry to drive its own fulfillment.
Thus, desire and reward got too strong. It drives too much of our behavior.
If that had not happened, Then our brains would have been happier with what stimulation it naturally got.
And this would have allowed other senses, other feelings, other brain chemistry to come to the fore.
We would have been more in love with normal life as it was.
And we would have become more sensitive to things outside ourselves. We would have been more sensitive to the spirit, the Egregora, that was larger than us.
The fact that we think we have a unique soul, may have derived from this intensely personal hunger for stimulation. If it were not for that, we may well have perceived that there was one soul/spirit that was watching/looking out for us all.
And that may have lead us to appreciating, possibly loving the greater whole. To the point that our behavior was more socially aware and connected, than the current individuals we have become.
We may have come to love life in a greater sense. more connected to it all: Land, Sea, Sky, Plants, Animals, each other.
