This Pool or Ocean is the accumulation of the life energy of all that has gone on before.
From simple life to complex life, its essence ends up here.
Simpler life energy forms the basic substance of the Divine Ocean.
As life becomes more complex their energy clumps together in an entity we will call a soul.
So the Divine Ocean is a soup with a whole diversity of ingredients from broth to substantive pieces.
But souls are not solid objects, they are more like concentrations of energy. They do not have as definitive of an edge or boundary as say a piece of meat.
Soul edges are soft, kind of like how the edge of our planets atmosphere just bleeds out into space.
There is no line where atmosphere is thick on one side and gone on the next.
It just gets thinner and thinner until its hard to tell if it is still there or not.
So it is with souls.
Thus souls are fluid or gaseous.
They can be permeated. Different soul energy can seep in.
Original soul energy can leak out.
Soul energy can be shared or recombined.
Weaker souls would have less cohesion; stronger souls would have more cohesion.
This gives us a picture of a Divine Ocean where souls can totally disperse into the ocean, or can remain pretty much intact or can be anywhere on the sliding scale between diffusion and intactness.
This leads us to our first application.
Souls are usually a mixture of core elements and miscellaneous elements that are picked up along the way.
Ever felt like there are parts of your self that just don't fit with the rest?
Or ever seen some people who have a hard time getting it all together into a single person?
Perhaps the idea of a softer, more fluid soul can help explain that.
Application:
In physical life, you may find your soul to be a fairly intact being or you may be a hodge-podge of stuff.
Whatever your state, you're here to work on your soul.
