Problems with Soul Work Theology

Near Death Experiences

I have not had a near death experience. From what I have heard, the following patters seem to emerge.

A week or two aproaching death the dying person may be approached by some ancestor or other deceased person they know.
This appears to ease the dying person's fear of death. And appears to help them approach death with less terror.

Some may have dreams of soaking in a warm pool or ocean.

Those who have died often report a tunnel of light. Then a bright new environment with their parents or other deceased family and/or people they know.

How does this stack up to Soul Works Theology?
well the tunnel of light and dreams of a comforting emersion may fit.
But the presense of well defined, recognizable personages does not fit.

Soul Works is my own dreamed-up attempt to make sense of things.
I've shaped Soul Works to fit as many things as I can.
But it does not fit all things.
And this is one of the big things that do not fit.

This descrepancy between the idea of souls being permable,
or becoming part of a stew of soul materials,
and the consistant reports of personages,
is enough to make me want to throw out the whole soul work concept.
It is a prime example of how this is just a made up idea.

Hopefully someone else will be able to come up with a better system.
