Soul Work Human Creation Myth

Prolog Myth

This is just a story, a myth. It is not scientific fact. It contains little if any scientific fact. This story can be disproven.

But I tell this story anyway. Not to create fake facts, but to change the way we think about ourselves and our lives.

A true fable or myth moves one to a better perspective. A better place for relating to the real world. May this story be such a tale. `

Story

n the beginning, as the Earth formed, it consolidated not only physical matter, but also its share of Life Energy. Enough that as the Earth developed, Big Life tried to help little life along. A little push here, a little pull there, a little tweak here. The first life, the first cell, then multi-cell, ever pushing life forward.

At first there was an explosion of life in the ocean. For a long time that was okay. The ocean life was simple, but even simple creatures develop a bit of soul energy. As the oceans brought forth life in abundance, the Earth’s share of soul energy grew. Just the most basic kind of soul energy. The desire to live and be. This built a great foundation for what would come later.

When the base was well enough established, it was time to push to the next level, something more. And so Life started pushing for life on land. And once on land, exploring and pushing the different possibilities.

In the Reptilian stage, Life worked to develop a balance. But the balance shifted to being more violent, more ruthless, more cunning. This started filling life with cunning, violent energy. A little of that is okay. But this was oppressive. The violence, the cruelty, the viciousness oppressed the rest of life. It imprinted the pool of soul energy. Setting it in that one direction.

Life wanted to change things, but it needed a fresh start and it had to wait quite a while to get one. In the meantime, Earth’s pool of soul energy was heavily tipped heavily in the oppressive, violent, power over model.

When Life did get the change to start over, Life started pushing mammals, to seeing how far they could go. It developed primates and started enhancing them. Causing them to stand up. And expanding their brain. This took a long time.

Eventually these early humans reached a point where Life could move into them in a new way. All living things have some soul energy. A mixture of previous soul energy they inherited, and that which they create themselves. But this was different. These humans could hold enough soul energy to ‘wake up’. To be something more. To be more aware of themselves, what’s around them, and what can be envisioned.

This enlightenment may have happened at various places. As these small groups woke up, they became serious about many things humans had only dabbled in before.

For some time, humans had dabbled with agriculture, with cooking, with art, with language. But it was all practice. They would do something for a while and then wander off to do something else. It didn’t really stick.

Now with a full soul personhood, humans could envision how these things could have a purpose. Purpose enough that they needed to pursue them. With self-awareness came the awareness of what other things could do/be and the desire to see this vision manifest.

Humans got serious about settlements, agriculture, cooking, social constructs, art and religion. Serious in a way that made these things permanent. They would become things that humans would maintain and develop for generations.

Thus, is a story of how modern, soul-imbued, humans came to be. It is similar to the story of each new human. Each new human starts off as living tissue, then as systems come online, they become a living being. Then at some point, when the development is far enough along, comes the quickening. The mystery of how a living being becomes a self-aware soul. So too with humanity as a species, there was a long time of development before the quickening came.

It is the quickening that transformed the hunter-gatherers into civilization builders.

It should be pointed out that civilization by itself is not Life’s highest goal. Life’s highest goal is the growth of rich, civilized Soul Energy. The kind of energy that can band together and sustain Life through the gap between this universe and the next.

Thus, in knowing our history, how we came to be, we come to know our purpose. Our purpose is to struggle with whatever Soul pieces we may have inherited. To struggle to improve them, train them, transform them into something better. That the pool of soul energy itself may be improved.

One of our largest challenges is dealing with the strong tendencies of violent, oppressive, power over with fear, that we inherited from the reptilian age. And the highest good we can reach is to develop better models of power, wealth and value. For in so doing, we can raise ourselves and all consciousness to a better place.

Progress and building a civilization is only a means to an end of working on the collective Soul.

It would be wise for us to be ever mindful of Life’s true purpose. Let us not then seek and promote material power, wealth, progress and civilization beyond what is needful for the soul work inside of us. For if we stray too far afield, we risk Life itself turning against us.
