Because these life forms wanted to be alive,
wanted to stay alive.
That desire to live persisted, even after the life form died.
At first it was a mear memory of the will to live that was.
But that memory, that wisp of life did not just happen once.
It happened over and over again as life forms lived and died.
This memory would fade, does fade.
but once there was a constant stream of life forms dying, soon enough, often enough,
That this memory, this whisp, remained constant.
Thus this memory gained a life of its own. and with that the first "Egregore" was born.
