Lifeforms now had an Egregora watching them. They were now receiving input from previous and current generations. They had the ability to pass on what they learned to their offspring in the form of instincts. And they were developing the awareness of 'me' as something separate than everything else.
With all that came a hunger to perceive, to know, perhaps even to learn. Yet bind trial and error was a poor way to perceive things. Hence there arose the desire to sense the outside world. And this promoted evolution in the form of senses.
Senses that could perceive the outside world. Mental infrasturcture to process those senses, and a conscience sense of 'me' to put it all together, This lead to the initial forms of Sentience.
